Is there a reason why the private lives of these people, whoever they are, should be public property? When we say we don't care, what we mean is that we really don't care. If you are a good actor, it will not affect the roles in which you are cast, full stop. You will not lose roles because you are an out gay man. You will not lose roles if you are closeted. You will not gain roles by being straight. It genuinely doesn't matter.

Stop being so disingenuous.

Why did you choose them as examples of supermassive closet cases, then?

One is bisexual anyway and one thinks, quite rightly, that his private life is none of your business. All he needs to do for you is act, what with that being his job and all. He doesn't owe you a tour of his house as well. If I was well-known, i'd do my best to keep entitled fans out of my business too. Write your fic about people who don't care about having their personal lives up for comment.
