Fanmixes

(Anonymous) 2013-09-01 10:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Just wondering what everyone does when they come across a fanmix they like that contains some songs that you already own. What do you do with the duplicate songs, if anything? Or do you just treat the mix as an album/compilation in its own right and treat it accordingly?

I tend to treat it as a compilation in its own right.

I dl the whole thing and then delete the songs I don't need or want.

I usually give the fanmix priority, and delete the repeat songs from the other albums. I have a much easier time remembering characters/movie soundtracks than I do artists or album titles anyway. :)

I tend to only keep a fanmix together if I really enjoy it as a playlist/concept on its own. Otherwise I only move the songs I want into my music library and delete the rest.
