I wanted to like Chrom, but instead I felt very 'meh' towards him. He's just... a very generic character? As some other anons said, he's trying too hard to be a mix of the lords of the other FE games and he just... fails at it. I still like him as a unit to use in battle (but I like lords in general, so), but that's about it.

Also, am I the only one who doesn't like the marriage system in Awakening? Idk, it just feels... weird. I wouldn't mind so much if people had at least a pre-chosen partner that they ended up with if you saw all the support conversations (kind of like Harvest Moon), but anyone can just marry anyone... It feels to me like a giant mess.

I feel the same way about the marriage system. There are an incredible amount of potential pairings and I ended up not feeling strongly about any of them, which is really weird for me in FE/
