Lol brain that's not how things work

(Anonymous) 2013-09-02 11:47 pm (UTC)(link)
I know this guy who ngl, is hot. But we're not friends, and we could never be. We disagree about almost everything, and he's quite rude to me sometimes, and I am quite rude to him sometimes, but most of the time we're civil. We study together, so we can't help but see each other. Anyway, I've been having constant dreams where we're all lovey dovey and we kiss and hug and it's a sugary romanticky fest, and it's starting to leak to real life. I see him and get all ~swoon~ until he says something that really pisses me off and I go back to thinking he's a jerk. What's up with this, you know?

Is it possible that you're in a romantic comedy and you didn't realize it?

It definitely is. Truman Show style.

haha, first thing that came to mind. It happens though! (The 'falling for people you shouldn't', not the 'being in a romantic comedy' thing. Though maybe that happens too, what do I know?)

Yeah and I'm almost 21. I need to get my shit together. OR write a novel! He could be a sexy goblin and me part fairy? Sexifying unsexy things is still a thing, right?

Your comment subject says it all...I've had my brain do weird things to me too. Sounds like you two would never actually work out, so don't expect anything to happen. Sometimes our brains fuck with us. Mine like to do the weird dream thing to me too.

IDK man sometimes people have romantic/sexual dreams about being with people they utterly loathe and are not remotely attracted to

maybe you just want to get along better with him and not fight so much
maybe there is a level of sexual attraction there that you would never let yourself express IRL, so your mind is sorta letting off some steam

there could be lots of explanations

but dreams =/= reality, it doesn't mean you're actually doing the thing in real life, so it's all perfectly normal
