My suggestion: retire from the force and open your own private investigations business. A whole office just to yourself! You can just sit around drinking whiskey, wearing suits. Put your feet up on the desk if you want, who's gonna stop you? Then wait for a full moon on a foggy night. The dame will burst into your office in tears, rambling hysterically about a boot that washed up in the harbor. None of it makes any damn sense but from what you can tell, it involves a missing brother and a valuable artifact. You'll get to that later, but first you'll have to console the poor bird. You take her in your arms, stroke her hair, whisper some sweet nothings. It should all work itself out from there.

Just be careful she might be double crossing you.
