People were talking about several fanartists on here that they thought have gotten worse and they're all great artists, it's just people's tastes

Yup. As an artist grows over the years, SOME ONE will always think it's for the worst even if it isn't. Sometimes all they changed was that they're going for a more stylized look that a viewer or two just dislikes. It happens, no big deal. Because other people DO like it, including the artist! :)
