Some still buy into the "since time immemorial, play with whores and marry virgins" thing.

Happily, not everyone thinks that way, but overall progress is glacial.

I kind of want to read this now, but I can't find a page for it on bakaupdates...

If memory serves, it was one of the stories included in the tankoubon "Satanic Sweet".

People are complicated, and frequently real dumb.

Or maybe the author actual knows of that dynamic? It could be autobiographical, or it could just be good observation.

here you go!

[Picture is a scan of the manga "Mud" by Yamashita Tomoko. A shirtless man looks over his shoulder and says to a woman who looks kind of surprised and who appears to be holding something like a thick stick in her hand: "You're... The best. Really, I mean it... You've made all my fantasies come true. Haha... But, you know..." The woman has light skin and long dark hair, and the man is flushed and sweating, with light skin and short dark hair.]

This manga is so real I'm convinced it's semi-autobiographical, because it's play-for-play how my last relationship worked out. Minus the happy ending. I think the author tacked that on to salve her own wounds.

Why is it that many guys who want kinky sex will judge women who give it to them as not good enough for a relationship? This manga made me angry just reading it because it's so fucking true.

I just finished reading it. I wish there were more chapters :(

Yamashita Tomoko secret!

She's very good at painful love relationships (and just character dynamics in general imo). I've had a few recognizable pangs reading her stories, but am never sure how good a thing that is...

Any manga recs, btw?

This is cool. I like the protagonist. She's refreshingly blunt.
