Transcripts!
Secret 1 - The Book Thief, The days of the Deer, Sandman
I read "The Book Thief" in Spanish. Death was always referred to as "she", as it has always been in that language. So I pictured Death's voice as some cool, rough, ancient female voice. Besides that, around that time, I read "The Days of the Deer" and "Sandman", were Death was female as well.
Now that The Book Thief is coming out, I know that Death will have to have a male voice (as in the book) or at least a neutral one, and that above all things will damage my beautiful perception of the concept of Death. I don't even know why.
I know, "movies don't ruin books", cry moar, OP.
Secret 2 - Ryan Lewis, Macklemore
I am ridiculously frustrated by my inability to find slash fics about them. (Seriously, is it possible there's none at all?)
But I am way too embarrassed by the fact I ship them to try and ask around.
Secret 3 - The Glades
I can't stand the Jim/Callie couple. They have no chemistry, and Callie's a whiny, jealous, shrill nag. Jim/Sam, on the other hand, was awesome - they played off each other well, and the show felt... well... fun again.
Secret because: Nobody even watches this show, and the ones who do are fans of Callie/Jim.
Bonus secret: The Kia product placement is just gross. The show is now essentially an infomercial!
Secret 4 - Revenge
I hope Nolan gets a boyfriend in prison. (A real bad guy who manipulates him and exploits his feelings.)
Especially if it causes tension between Nolan and Emily. They're my Bro-True Pairing and I long for delicious conflict.
Secret 5 - The Killing (AMC)
I think Holder actually has romantic feelings for Linden in canon. I feel embarrassed by how hard I ship them.
I know romance isn't the point of the show. I love the plotlines and the characters (Bullet!), too. I just really want them to kiss and do other shippy stuff.
Secret 6 - Star Trek Into Darkness
After defending Star Trek Into Darkness, he lost my respect. Pegg is nothing but a butthurt fanboy and a hypocrite.
Star Trek Into Darkness insults the intelligence of fandom. It may be financially successful but that doesn't change that it's still be terrible either way. In short- fuck you, Pegg.
Why fans paid so much to see this garbage is beyond me.
Secret 7 - Tron: Uprising
I bought three albums on iTunes that I would normally never even consider because it sounds like music Paige would have played. I normally hate this kind of music.
Secret 8 - Paul McCartney
My art teacher is a left-handed, guitar-playing vegetarian. He's also slightly younger than him and shares a resemblance to (older) him too.
Now whenever I see recent pictures of him, I feel weird.
Secret 9 - Les Miserables
He is probably one of my FAVORITE male protagonists in any of the books I've read.
-HAS ACTUAL FLAWS.
-Actually shows the full spectrum of human emotion.
-Is capable of kicking ass and taking names, but also can raise a little girl and be mothery and stuff and no one gives a shit.
-Completely turns his life around.
-Gets realistically pissed at people, but can forgive them in the end.
Secret because: It probably makes me sound like a pretentious bitch.
Secret 10 - Mud by Yamashita Tomoko
This manga is so real I'm convinced it's semi-autobiographical, because it's play-for-play how my last relationship worked out. Minus the happy ending. I think the author tacked that on to salve her own wounds.
Why is it that many guys who want kinky sex will judge women who give it to them as not good enough for a relationship? This manga made me angry just reading it because it's so fucking true.
Secret 11 - The Beatles
I'm not the kind of person to ship them or anything. But I'd be genuinely surprised to find out that they DEFINITELY didn't 'experiment' with each other at all.
Secret because: This sounds even weirder than just shipping them...
Not Secret 1 (Spoilers for Project Runway!)
[Picture is Kahindo Mateene and Justin LeBlanc from the reality TV show "Project Runway". Kahindo is a woman with dark/brown skin and small, thin cornrows? Her hair is long and dark brown. She is wearing a sleeveless yellow shirt and smiling at the camera. Justin is a man with pale skin, brown eyes and a brown slight mustache and beard. He is wearing a dark cap/hat and gray clothing. He is smiling at the camera.]
Justin deserved to go home. Tim Gun's "save" proved to be a gimmick for the show. Tim has no real objective reasoning ability, and he let his emotional attachment influence his choice. The worst Kahindo did was play safe; she deserved a second chance. Whatever. At least pity wasn't the reason she could've been spared.
Not Secret 2 - The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Revolutionary Girl Utena
Coincidence? Wake up, sheeple!
