(Anonymous) 2013-09-04 11:41 pm (UTC)(link)Well done tramping all over the characters femslashers adore in order to get to that rationale.

(Anonymous) 2013-09-05 12:59 am (UTC)(link)I chimed in that I wished people stopped using 'female characters aren't interesting' as a rationale for not femslashing.
Explain to me which part of that was such a damning non-sequitur as to require the relocation of my comment?

(Anonymous) 2013-09-05 01:37 am (UTC)(link)"You said you wondered about people who claimed they couldn't find any women interesting enough to care about."
No, that wasn't me. And if you'd read the thread you would know that since I replied to that person.
I never said female characters suck as a rationalization for not shipping any femslash pairings, as your first comment states. I said there weren't any women characters who I liked AND that I saw chemistry between, as my first comment states.

(Anonymous) 2013-09-05 01:56 am (UTC)(link)That is the person to whom I was replying. I wasn't engaging with you at all.
But I will do so now: you're being a bitch.

(Anonymous) 2013-09-05 02:01 am (UTC)(link)And you're a cunt. Same thing, right? They're both vile, misogynistic words that should NEVER be directed at another person. That you do it in a thread about femslash is sickening.

(Anonymous) 2013-09-05 02:19 am (UTC)(link)So, if you're trolling - congratulations on the points score? You've gotten a rise out of me and made me angry and upset when I tried to join in the conversation. I concede the victory to you.
If you aren't trolling, why are you so antagonistic when I said nothing either to or about you?

(Anonymous) 2013-09-05 02:30 am (UTC)(link)To clarify - my first comment was treating the comment to which I responded as why I saw it to be - a truism. Not a specific reply to you but a comment on what often goes on in femslash debates. My own comment was similarly generic. It was not addressed to you or responding to you. When you ID'd yourself as the OP of the thread I presumed you meant the OP to whom I had responded as quite a lot of other people had too. I wasn't even thinking of your post, I was talking about a common discussion point in f/f debates.
I hope you have a nice remainder of whatever-time-it-is-for-you.
I'm sorry, and I'm out.

(Anonymous) 2013-09-05 02:12 am (UTC)(link)But I'm so tired of the knee-jerk nastiness and goading. It's horrible to make a comment in perfectly good faith responding in kind to somebody who made a general point only to be instantly jumped on for something you didn't even say.
