I think being nice to people (even if you aren't motivated by the purest most magical intentions) is way better than wishing death on them or their children, and I understand trying to drown out the crazy hate.

+1. Being nice is better than the alternative. It's okay to not care either (IDK enough about either of them to be fans, but I'm happy for them!), but I can see why people might want to put something positive out there to try and balance the hate.

And I'm sure plenty of people genuinely like or love them too.
