I feel you; I had to do similar a couple weeks ago. I was out on my workout walk when the skies opened up, looked at the trail marker and realized I was a mile away from the nearest cover. That was a fun day.

Ooh, that sounds worse than what I just had.

Curious question: does your run include high winds and meter-long puddles?

High winds, yes -- it was raining sideways for a while -- but the place where I walk is a well-maintained paved trail with a dropoff just to one side, so the water was pretty much hitting the ground and then going elsewhere.
