And here's a *no BDSM* drive-by fist bump! (I don't have any problem with others liking, it's just so not what I'm into and there are some fandoms where every second fic seems to be BDSM)

I agree with you there.

I am not adverse to reading BDSM, but humiliation and unreasonable* torture are huge turn-offs for me.

(* Reasonable torture in a BDSM fic is stuff where the participants either discuss it beforehand, or there is at least obvious concern on the Dom character's part that they are not going beyond what the sub can stand (in fics where the BDSM is more casual and don't have formal discussion of limits beforehand).)
