Head hopping. I don't mind it too much if it's just sprinkled here and there, but when something happens and there's a paragraph immediately following it about A's internal reaction about both it and B, and then the paragraph after that is suddenly from B's POV about the SAME DAMN THING that just happened and their thoughts on A...

It's a mix between seething and rolling my eyes; I don't know how else to describe it.

Hrm. I have seen those before, but usually it is a story structured around that and changes like every other chapter.

Oh, those are annoying too. At least, they're annoying if both chapters cover the exact same events. I'm totally fine with a tiny bit of recap, but I've read a couple fics where OVER HALF the chapter or more is a flashback to the previous chapter only from the opposite character's POV.

I don't know, repetition aside, part of the "fun" for me is getting inside a character's head and wondering what all the other characters think with them. So my favorite fics (at least in terms of shipping) are those that tend to stick with one character, followed decently by fics that do that every-other-chapter thing as long as the recaps are minimal or non-existent, trailed by fics that head hop from paragraph to paragraph and/or do full-chapter recaps.
