I had routine bloodwork done this morning. So I didn't get to eat my delicious leftover Rosh Hashannah honey cake for breakfast until that was done. :( But we also have even more delicious leftovers from our little feast last night tonight- braised chicken with fennel and olives, and a carrot kugel. Lots of work making it all yesterday but then you've got deliciousness for NO work tonight. \o/

Eh, bloodwork. :( But mmm that food sounds so good (especially considering I haven't done a grocery shop for this week yet and we've got pretty much nothing in, ha).

Ugh, fasting bloodwork is awful. Hope the results turn out to be normal!

I've never had honey cake, but it sounds delicious. Might I ask for the recipe?

I had a larger dinner than usual last night (both because of the test and because of the holiday fare) so I actually wasn't really hungry until after the test was done. I contemplated bringing some to eat in the car afterward (I was a passenger) but passed on it to just leave a bit earlier. Anyway I regretted that choice- medical center being 20 minutes from home both ways + waiting room time.

I fully expect everything to be normal, I just take a lot of long-term stuff and it's good check on that every few years.

I will get that recipe tonight, don't have it to hand right now.

I know what you mean, I get mine tested fairly often 'cause of my meds and such. Luckily, the vampires at my doctor's office are fun to talk to and really good at their jobs.

I appreciate you going to the trouble of sharing the recipe with me! If you'd like, I can offer a great no-bake cookie recipe in return.
