Alternative to ONTD?

(Anonymous) 2013-09-05 11:42 pm (UTC)(link)
I checked out ONTD for a while because I'll admit I enjoy celebrity news and sometimes I just want to let loose and chat about it, but omfg ONTD is a fucking cesspool of bullshit and hatred. After just a few days of browsing it I'm sick of the words "pressed" and "white girl". Everyone is so gullible and jumpy and messed up. It was tiring.

Anyone know a good alternative? It's mostly for the discussion part of it.

The Snarkening is fun for both celebrity news and more fandomish meta: http://thesnarkening.forumotion.com/ I think it was actually formed at least in part as an alternative to the... nastier sites. I'm not really sure though. (I'm more of a lurker there.)

Try visiting the sources of some of the sites they link to and see if that's more your style?

/refrains from purposefully saying 'you sound pressed' in a serious manner.

Similarly, I would kill for an alternative to ONTD_P that draws from international sources.
