From what I remember they were really insidious. Didn't they nearly kill several people, several times and always get away with it?

Ayrt - I can't remember, but I wouldn't be surprised. I think they've also kidnapped, stolen etc. if it wasnt a kids show, there'd be drugs and booze aplenty.

Yes, and sometimes they were even trying to. (The other times they were trying to do something else and it just went further than intended.)

They were just incompetent, so they never did so successfully.
