It's the little things

I can't remember the last time I was this content. I went to Starbucks on my way home and got my favorite drink which I almost never do because they are so expensive. And now I'm on the couch at home and it's quiet and peaceful. I've just caught up with everything online and I'm going to spend the night reading and drinking my coffee.

Can we be content together? It's such a nice day. I've washed my clothes, done one load of after-party dishes, cleaned my pet's cages and now I'm having coffee.

I bought the Dishonored DLC so may play that in a bit, after my coffee.

So quiet and nice!

It is. My dishes are clean, my house is, *i* am, the lawn is cut and the evening is mellowing nicely, mild and lovely outside, and i have nothing to do and nowhere to go and it's just....nice.

I ate really well today. The fried eggs and bacon in the morning were excellent, and in the afternoon I made spaghetti with meat sauce that came out great too. Then I had a satisfying nap.

I got the spend the afternoon with my best friend the day after her birthday, when she would usually have to be teaching, we tried a new cafe/waffle shop that was really good and inexpensive, and I found a nice shirt for the fall. Finishing up the day with a nasty headache, but I'm not too bothered :)
