(Anonymous) 2013-09-07 12:59 am (UTC)(link)Just because he's a physicist (and apparent genius) does not mean he doesn't have knowledge of anything else, even if it is just how to treat the basics of an illness. Have you never attended a first aid class? They can teach a shitload in basic care to help a person hold on until they get real treatment. It's not all CPR. He does not need to be Doctor, M.D to help people out in need.
It didn't reek of anything. It's a dude, helping out sick people with what knowledge he has. Yes he's offering a service, but the people are going to him because they need him. Believe it or not, unqualified "doctors" are common in such areas because the alternative is no-one.
