Believe it or not, some less-popular characters can reach the same number of comments as popular characters. Person above explains well, it really takes planning and the right subject in the post.

I admit, a lot of my characters don't get a boat load of comments all the time, but they do every so often, so... yeah, just playing those cards right and planning out well.
