In addition to videogames and light, fluffy sci-fi/fantasy novels and shows, I find that taking time to cuddle and play with my dogs and cats always helps improve my mood. Also, when I'm feeling well enough and the weather's nice enough, I spend as much time as I can with my horse. Even if I'm not up for riding (which is most of the time lately, unfortunately), it's nice to at least give him a good grooming and do a few light, mindless chores around the barn. I don't know your situation, so this may be an utterly useless suggestion (and I apologize in advance if it is), but if it's feasible moneywise/healthwise/timewise, I'd recommend looking for a good stable in your area that offers reasonably-priced riding lessons and maybe taking a couple just to see how you like it. Some of them even offer discounts on lessons if you're willing to help out around the barn, and very few of them believe in hazing the noobs (if only 'cause they don't want to risk hurting the horses in the process).
