Yeah, I didn't enjoy STID too much. But for me it was because of most of the returning cast's horrible overacting. Like with all the fuss about Cumberbatch at least he didn't give me second hand embarrassment over his scenes.

For me it was mostly just how many plot points/scenes didn't really make sense. (Like hiding the Enterprise underwater instead of just staying in orbit, arbitary "the transporter only works when it's plot-convenient" etc.) Also, tragic underuse of Uhura. :(

I wasn't expecting it to be great but I wasn't expecting to be so completely underwhelmed either. Meh.
