So what OSTs do you guys like a lot? Be it from video games, tv shows, or what have you.

Vision of Escaflowne and Noir are up there. I like Joe Hisaishi's work and the soundtracks for the LOTR movies, as well as for a lot of the Tim Burton ones.

I like many of the Hans Zimmer and Howard Shore works, also.

Anything by Hans Zimmer but especiall Gladiator and all of the Nolan Batman's. Lion King. Beasts of The Southern Wild. The Life of Pi. The Bastion OST by Darren Korb.

Lord of the Rings and Brave. Video games-wise, I just got into Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon and the music for that is so nice.

Bastion and Grid 2 (no seriously why does a racing game have such a great OST?)

The LoTR(plus Hobbit) soundtracks will always be my favourites, and while I don't like the Star Wars prequel films that much I love the soundtracks. I quite like the First Class and Pacific Rim soundtracks, Supernatural's season 1-2 music choices were pretty good, and oddly the Cold Case theme music which prompted me to find out who did it and I now own the E.S Posthumus album in question, which is wonderful.

Journey has beautiful-everything. :)

Pacific Rim's score is AMAZING.

Also Battlestar Galactica.

There's this one Korean war drama that some famous actor was in and DBSK sang a song on it so it came highly recommended. This soundtrack saved me in college, it's almost all instrumental and I love it. Of course, I can't read it to tell you the name of it, but it was just so powerful.

Sucker Punch.

Oh don't get me wrong, the film is a steaming plié of pro-rape bullshit, but if there is one thing that would keep Snyder's head from rolling, it would be his taste in music.

Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles soundtrack is amazing. LoTR, of course. Bunch of Disney ones as well: Robin Hood, Hunchback. And the Saw movies' OST set is great, as well.

Doctor Who Series Five.

Children Of Dune. Contest over. It is the single most amazing soundtrack ever scored. Brian Tyler is king of composers.

Movies: Lord of the Rings, Gladiator

Games: Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, various Final Fantasies and anything Mitsuda composed (like Chrono Cross), Metal Gear

Aaaand anything by Yuki Kajiura and Yoko Kanno.

Ennio Morricone and Thomas Newman are my heroes. Then I'd go for, say, Wolf's Rain, which has one of the best OST ever and any Yoko Kanno OST, Metal Gear Solid (any game from the franchise), Final Fantasy and Sherlock. OST are my absolute passion, so I'm just mentioning these in passing now.

The Almost Famous soundtrack is instant high school nostalgia.

And I freaking adore the In Bruges soundtrack. I've mentioned it here before, but "Harry Walks" is one of my all-time favorite villain themes. The part where it quotes "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" in a really sinister way is just brilliant (the movie takes place at Christmas).

Stargate - David Arnold. I love how often bits of music from this movie wind up in trailers for other movies.

I also like a lot of stuff by Hans Zimmer, Danny Elfman, and John Williams.

LOTR and Hobbit, Uncharted, Halo, Assassin's Creed, BioShock, Inception, Kingdom Hearts, Metal Gear Solid, Mass Effect, Portal, Star Trek (reboot), Nolanverse Batman, The Elder Scrolls, MCU, Jet Grind Radio/Jet Set Radio, Space Channel 5, Sherlock, etc etc.

I've been listening to Metal Gear Rising's off and on since it's release. It's stupidly good and extremely entertaining.

Repo Man! It's probably more famous for the non-original part of its soundtrack, which features a ton of classic punk songs, but I actually really like the original, instrumental elements of it as well.

Dishonored's OST is amazing, I wish I could buy a hard copy CD
Pacific Rim's OST is also amazing and I'm glad they made a physical copy available for purchase

The entirety of the Legend of Zelda soundtrack, ditto Pokemon, original Star Wars trilogy, Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, Brave, Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Producers, Doctor Who.

Anything by Hans Zimmer, but my favorites have to his PotC OSTs, especially AWE.

Edit: OH OH And the Reboot OSTs for Star Trek. Especially the first movie.
