Am I the only one who thought Hermione and Ginny were canon?

Especially in HBP, when Hermione basically became Ginny's confidant and advisor. It feels like the Harry/Ginny ship came out of nowhere, and the amount Hermione and Ron fought about makes a long-lasting relationship between them very unlikely. Then again, I was also half convinced that Harry and Cedric were in a relationship, so -shrug-

confidante is female, i think

anyway, i definitely saw hints of hermione/ginny and harry/cedric

imagine if homosexual pairings had been canon and on-screen and by the protagonists in such a mainstream book series!
