Re: What's a movie with characters who so blatantly caused their own problems as to lose all sympath

Not that they had any sympathy to begin with but the Nazis in Indiana Jones and The Lost Ark set up their own fall. It says right there in the Bible/Torah that only certain Jewish priests can open the Ark of the Covenant and see what is inside. All others will be struck down dead.

So, what to do the they do, dress up a couple of Nazis as priests, everyone else remains in their uniforms and they open the Ark.

Dr. Jones didn't even have to be there to save the day. God saved the day in that film.
