Re: What's a movie with characters who so blatantly caused their own problems as to lose all sympath

I don't know if this counts, but I had no sympathy for Steve Carell's character in "Dinner for Schmucks" after he apparently ruined Paul Rudd's character's marriage and career with his moronocity, even though the movie clearly wanted us to feel all sorry for him after Paul Rudd blew up at him and called him an idiot and stuff. Yeah he was supposed to be a well-intentioned dim-witted guy with poor social skills who just didn't know what he was doing, but there's a limit to how much blatant stupidity I can take.
