Re: Movie that is the equivalent of comfort food

I feel kind of odd calling dark comedies like In Bruges or Withnail & I "comfort food" what with the depressing endings and all, but they definitely fall into the always-good-despite-multiple-viewings (and endlessly quotable) category.

Closer to the comfort factor- The Last Unicorn, The Flight of Dragons, Almost Famous, The Great Escape (and Chicken Run for that matter), Con Air*, some Tarantino stuff depending on my mood, The Great Mouse Detective, Ed Wood, and of course Galaxy Quest.

*Con Air should really never be mentioned in the same sentence as The Great Escape, other than that they're both films with ensemble casts full of character actors, and I love them both. Although that one overlapping reason is one of the factors I particularly like about both films!
