Secret 1 - Fandom friendship
Dear fandom and real life friend, I'm sorry I just can't get into your "adult" fandoms like Game of Thrones and Sherlock. I just wish you would stop mocking mine whenever I try to explain why I don't want to watch your shows.
Secret 2 - Predator
I think the Predators are the most attractive alien species ever designed. They're super hot.
I also refuse to take information that isn't from the movies as canon. I hate the whole "expanded universe" a bunch of series do, and it disappoints me how often I come across fanfiction that uses that stuff. It just never seems to work well with the movies in my opinion.
Secret 3 - Fanfiction, sexuality
If you write a fic and describe a character as "Pansexual" or "Demisexual" I stop reading.
I'm getting really sick of seeing this wherever I go. There's four main sexualities. Homo, hetero, bi, and asexuality too, I suppose. Pick one. Don't make up imaginary terms just to fell all "unique and special". Using pan or demi to describe a character just reeks of self-insert. Quit making the LGBT movement look like a techie-bopper trend.
Secret 4 - General fandom
I used to think fandom was a magical place where imagination ruled and everything was fun and games. As I get older I realise; it's all the same people as real life, acting the same way they ever did, merely hiding under different labels and rationalizations. Maybe younger me didn't notice before because I came in with the pre-conception that fandom isn't real life. Except it turns out it's all the same.
Secret 5 - Fanfiction, Alpha Beta Omega dynamics
I really don't like A/B/O. Not just a mild dislike that it's not my kink but to the point that I feel physically ill when I read it. My current fandom is so full of it people don't always remember to warn for it.
I don't quite understand why I have such a violent reaction. I think it's because I hate and despite the idea of people being controlled by their bodies to the point of needing to penetrate/be penetrated.
Secret 6 - Automobile
Whenever I see this model of car, I think it needs glasses.
Notes
Secret 7 - Fanfiction
Not secret: I want to write an epic-length fic about a minor female character.
Secret: I don't think I have the self-discipline to put so much effort and energy into something hardly anyone will read. I feel like a hypocrite because I've always said that I write for myself. I feel like people will only be interested in the side slash pairing.
Bonus secret: I really want to be recognized in this fandom.
Colours related.
Secret 8 - Disney Princesses
I think some people take their hatred of Disney Princesses too far. Let the little kids have their magical escape. It's harmless fun; there's nothing wrong with wanting to be a princess.
Secret 9 - Avenged Sevenfold
I miss Zacky's purple hair.
Secret 10 - Once Upon a Time?
Whenever I read anything where they go back to Fairy Tale Land, I get all distracted wondering if they then invent indoor plumbing, magic mobile phones, vaccinations, electricity, central heating, etc.
Or if they're happy to go back to the way things were, even though they remember modern life.
