Or Cordelia and Angel...ugh.

The only pairing I really approved of in the Buffy/Angelverse was Willow and Tara. And Willow/Tara/Oz would have been awesome. But the show could not contain that amount of cool.

YES. I have never hated anything more than that storyline. And I initially liked Spike's unrequited interest in her, but then it descended into the depths of super do-not-want.

I enjoyed the intensity of the relationship (way way fucking intense). But the whole attempted rape never happened. It was a hallucination inflicted on them by the particularly heinous demon Noxtionous in an attempt to destroy the Slayer and her pet vampire, for the purpose of assisting the First Evil in escaping the Hellmouth.

But the demonic plan failed, for lo, the Slayer, with the assistance of her pet vampire, defeated the First Evil anyway and the day was saved for, er, mall shopping.
