Not any of the other OP's but I was watching Orange is the new Black and I was...delighted? or amused?

one of the girls called another one a coconut and I was amused* because I didn't think it was a common enough phrase to be on a tv series

I haven't heard it used that way before, but I'm guessing it's one of those "[color] on the outside, white on the inside" deals. (Confirmation, anyone?)
