The Ellimist saved Rachael. He shunted her off into a new reality and now she's the badass head of a group of people going around saving and fixing alternate realities from outside forces looking to mess them up. She can't go home again, but she's alive.

Ooh, I never considered that before. That is flawless and totally fits with the Ellimist looking at the big picture and choosing to fight Crayak on multiple fronts at once. He did, after all, stack the deck.
