When I first read about demisexuality and it being in the spectrum of asexuality, I assumed demi was basically "I'm asexual, but if I like a person enough, I might make an exception for them and sleep with them if they want."

but from my understanding of tumblr asexuals, they'll have lots of sex and enjoy it even though they're totes not attracted to the person they're having sex with so they're still oppressed, guise!

Not quite. The label's about who you're sexually attracted to, not who you choose to have sex with.

So, it's basically the special title that is the only difference between them and the majority of the population. Gotcha!

Hmm? I believe all sexuality labels are about who you're sexually attracted to, not who you choose to have sex with.
