Their society teachers them that they're off into the real world at 17/18 year old, starting their careers. It wouldn't surprise me if most wizards and witches had a younger average age for marriage/having kids and so on.

This. They don't go to university and rediscover themselves or whatever; they pretty much know what they want to do. So it makes sense that a lot of them would more or less know who they wanted to be with.

And it's not like high school sweethearts are that uncommon IRL. I know a lot of people - albeit not from the same school - who married high school sweethearts.
