Re: What's the most recent thing you've made?

I'm starting with fresh tomatoes because that's how the Italian woman I'm learning from does it.

I'm glad to hear your past has turned out great, I remember someone mentioning it the other day.

Also, I wish I could knit socks, I've only knit scarves until I decided to tackle this blanket (I worked on it from March-May and then took a long break and just picked it up again)

This is the website I used to teach myself to knit; they have step-by-step tutorials for socks, hats, sweaters, and a bunch of other projects, if you decide you want a new project when the blanket's done.

I did one other knitting project I forgot about (mostly because I haven't finished it yet). I made a knitted purse by knitting in the round with fair isle knitting to knit two colors at once. I have the knitted part of it finished, it's just figuring how to make a lining now.

That sounds really cool, actually. I have no idea how you would do a lining, but there's got to be something online that would help you figure it out.

It's more a matter of sewing a lining.

I made the Slytherin bag, but I have yet to stitch the strap (mostly because I don't think it's sturdy enough)

Those look really awesome. I should work on learning to knit from a pattern.

It's the only thing I knitted with an intricate pattern and really, fair isle knitting in the round is incredibly easy.

The other thing I did was knit the Fourth Doctor's scarf OMG, it's 12 feet long and I basically can't wear it anywhere, but I did it?

The blanket I'm making is actually supposed to be done using granny squares by crocheting, but I couldn't figure out how to crochet, so I opted to just knit lots of squares. A LOT OF SQUARES (252 squares, on a #9 needle, with a pattern of 15 stitches for 25 rows....)
