Just having such a shitty couple of days with a lot of personal crap, including a sucky and push landlord that I want to have a good solid cry. I'm afraid to because I don't want my friends to think it is related to 9/11. There are so many people around here who are public-crying because of the anniversary even though they had no connection to it, and I don't want to be confused with those drama queens or be accused of leaping on a bandwagon.

Aaaw anon, can you get away for 30 minutes to somewhere really private and let it out as quietly as you can? Cold water can help hide puffy eyes

Can't you just say "Hey, I'm having a really hard time lately and I really need someone to talk to about it. Can I talk to you?" Then, if crying happens it happens and they'll probably have an idea as to why.
