I'm doing Kapp'n from the Animal Crossing series - including his boat from New Leaf. Basically I'm working on a giant mask for his head, my upper torso becomes his entire body, my forearms become his legs, and the boat sits more or less at my hips, with everything below covered by "waves" made of blue fabric, thus making him appear about three feet tall with a giant head. XD Though the next step is sort of boringly mundane - make him some clothes to go over the parts of the costume that make this work.
