Option B: You politely disagree.

Fan A: [rant rant rant, insults to your intelligence]

Fan A will be the one looking bad here no matter what, not you

and then you can block them and they will rant and cry in their journals and receive consolations from their followers who will all agree you were oh so mean, but no one you would want to engage with anyway will be turned away by your response as long as you are diplomatic and then don't sink back to your level

and if anyone comes give you grief you block them too

just establish that you won't suffer idiots but will remain polite about it and things should eventually get better once they get bored and move on to people who engage them, positively or negatively
