I guess. I mean, I love Harry Potter too and have been lurking around the fandom for years, but I didn't expect this reaction. Guess I'm not in deep enough.

Eh, I don't know if it's really about being in deep - I think it's more just people have really positive feelings about it and it's something that was really important to a lot of people. It's less about fanaticism and more about being really well liked - it's the casual fans who are getting excited as much as the really hardcore ones, I think. Because people just plain like Harry Potter and now there's more of it.

This. Although some hardcore fans will probably be a bit wary of WB's involvement... I mean, I trust that JKR is doing it for creative reasons, but she also more or less admitted that she said she'd do it when WB threatened offered to do the whole thing themselves.
