idts Riker sounds like it'd be a cool first name. I don't see anything there to make fun of.

Too many Williams in the world tbh. Boy's names are going to have to get a little more creative eventually.

Riker's Island prison. Not a good association.

Not that loads of people haven't named their kids Riker already.

That said, not everyone will be familiar with the prison so you may not get that association everywhere. Between the two I'd sooner go with 'William' (as a middle name, because said hypothetical son would have an uncle William.).
