This is going to be good. Let's see how many slash shippers, mainly Kirk/Spock shippers talk about how OOC it was, how they don't like Uhura and everything else they say on tumblr.

IDK, a lot of people I follow over tumblr used to hate them but now they reblog stuff and call them babies and it creeps me out a lot because they used to make all these posts where they disliked them (pretty sure some posted here as well) and I don't get their sudden change of heart.

K/S shipper here, and I don't like S/U but I don't hate it either /shrugs. It doesn't make a difference to my shipping either way.

Same. Not in the fandom, but Kirk/Spock (especially in the new films) seemed about as obvious as Charles/Erik in X-Men: FC.

That said, I really really like Zoe Saldana (I think she's absolutely gorgeous too), even if I was a bit disappointed that most of her character in the second film seemed to have been set back to "arguing with Spock at inappropriate times" instead of "being as bad-ass as we know she can be".

judging by how massively forced and OOC the Kirk/Spock "friendship" was in the last movie I'd love to see them still complain about Spock having a girlfriend just to have it confirmed that this fandom doesn't know the meaning of the word coherence.
