That's fantastic! I had a brief (but super fun) fling with the fandom back in the day, but haven't seen anything about it in years. Nice to know it's not dead.

It tends to calm down in-between periods of no new content, but when a season is either premiering in Japan or being dubbed in the US, activity starts up again. The Japanese fandom, from what I understand, is doing just fine (hell, they get cell phone games and card games and stuff pretty frequently), but the international fandom doesn't have as much activity. The peak of popularity was when the third season (Tamers) was the most recent one. The latter seasons haven't managed to grab quite as much attention (not that it's their fault; they were on odd channels during their original run).

The most recent season is being dubbed and is broadcast on US's Nickelodeon (first episode was last Saturday), so things might pick up. We're hoping we'll finally get some new video game releases now that Digimon is a thing again.
