Writing Tumblrs?

Are there any other people who display written works on their tumblrs? I have a tumblr where I write a bunch of AU drabbling with my characters and original verse along with some fanstuffs.

Is there anyone else who runs this type of blog? Just writing collection

I'm thinking about starting one since I'm trying to get back into writing...but I'll admit, I'm a little hesitant to do it on tumblr.

Archive of Our Own is very flexible.

I mean it's an archive but it houses oriignal stuff. I just put so much of my original stuff on there.

If you're worried about being dogpiled don't sweat it. I don't think I've ever been attacked. Even when I reblogged stuff about rad SJs. Hint: if you don't tag your stuff nobody who's not following you will find it.

Eh, dogpiling is part of it, but it's also...When I'm on tumblr I tend to get a little snippy when I see blatantly wrong information being passed around [which happens a *lot*, particularly where history is concerned.]

I've seen several of them, but i don't follow or read because way too many people choose a pale font/tiny font and i *cannot read it*. AO3 is the best place for me to read right now because of font/background color and font size. So keep in mind that if you're a Hawkeye, not all your followers are and try not to make your Tumblr too weird colorwise.

Ahh personally I usually go with a very simple theme. Black and white and designed so anyone can read.

I do like when people can read and enjoy the stuff I write. Defeats the purpose if they can't.

Also I find those tumblrs that play music a little annoying. I usually have Pandora radio going for background music and it interferes when I come across some tumblr with music. (I already have enough problems with my speakers playing ads and radio transmissions out of freakin' nowhere.

I always have my speakers turned down/off unless i actually want to listen to something, but yes - my daughter's Tumblr did that for a while. So *very* annoying, especially if i'd left the speakers up because i'd just listened to a youtube vid or something and then suprise!music that startled the hell out of me.

Eh, tumblr isn't the best platform for writing, imo. Usually I just post samples + links, and people will come read it or not.
