I completely disagree with the rest of these comments. We don't tell our children to change who they are when they are teased in school. We don't stop ourselves from loving someone despite a strange name. This name is obviously a symbol of your love. As someone with a pretty bizarre name that could never be pronounced right and did get teased, I loved my mother for giving me this name, because for her it reflected so many hopes and cares that she wanted to give me along with the name. Honestly, people live life with weird names. If your kid is tired of the attention it brings her, she can choose to use a nickname. Stop equating a loving act to some kind of child abuse.
