I tried, but all the streams seem to be doing that "Maximum number" thing lately. No way to get around it besides refreshing the page regularly. I don't know if it's justin.tv's way of trying to get more paying customers or what. Le sigh. Maybe I'll try with a proxy the next time.

I have a theory that Eska and Bolin are going to fall into the scraped "Asami was a spy" plot from the first season. She'll end up actually caring for Bolin, and so she'll turn on her father/help the Krew and whatnot

Well that was underwhelming.

Really? I thought the end where the water tribe ships were descending onto the ST like the firenation did way back when was kind of creepy.

I felt really bad for Mako. Unalaq is so obviously controlling the spirits/evil. How can Korra not see that? Oh, it's just Northern water tribe war ships coming into the Southern water tribe a la Firenation raider style, no way could this be a huge red flag. Nahhhhhh.

WELLLLLLLLLL...

I liked it.

I do think that Unalaq being the antagonist was pretty evident. He seems a bit like an Amon knockoff. There is a good chance that he set his brother up with the spirits in the forest so he could rule over both north and south tribes. Having said that, the show needs more shirtless Tonraq. He is a fine piece of animation.

There were problems with how the Korra/Mako relationship was set up last season, but I can't help but like the two together. They're just so cute. I also like that Mako is supportive of Korra and really tries to be there for her, even if she's frustrated at all the tasks before her. Yay supportive boyfriend!

I can't wait for Jinora's plotline to unfold and I’m ready for the one and only Wan next episode. It seems like Jinora has a connection to the Avatars in a way Korra might not. It might just because of grandpa Aang, but maybe she’ll also become a great spiritual airbender.

I still think that the plots in Korra are more muddled and not as fresh, but I love all the characters and the animation style. I think the fact that there is only 12-14 eps per season holds Korra back a bit from being great. With A:TLA they had a lot of time to explore relationships and provide backstory, which LOK runs over swiftly and not nearly as deep. LOK also has to expand on its bad guys. I think Unalaq might not be a quintessential "evil guy," but we had that will Amon and bro last season, so I'm not sure how they will really make Unalaq into his own villain. I hope they surprise me and that the spirits become more of the focus. Less human villains and more spirit exploration for the win.

Also, Desna/Bolin/Eska for my new 3TP.

I just keep on getting disappointed with Korra. I don't really have high hopes for this season.

I was hoping it'd be better now that there are more writers on board, but after that premiere, I give up. It's not worth the frustration.

Yeah. I'm kind of on the edge between dropping it and sticking through it, because there's still things that I like. I think I'm gonna give it another episode and decide.

Good luck. The one thing I liked was Korra calling Tenzin and her dad out on my least favorite trope: keeping vital information from a girl "for her own good."
