Positive quality, sure, but one that's overused in female characters. Just like some of us can't help but roll our eyes when tall, dark, and stoic comes on screen, so of us are like "Really? Another mother? Again?" I'm personally a little sick of it being a requirement for female characters, when so many women (people, really) are definitely not the caring type.
