The ones that priase it are praising it for the soft core titty scene and the pew-pew-pew shoot 'em up parts. Same as any action movie. People that turned up to see a movie tell an actual story all slated it.

You can state your own opinion all you want, but that's one bullshit sweeping generalization about why anybody would have actually liked it. What about the people who turned up just to spend time with characters they loved? There are a few arguably OOC moments in the reboot films but you can still get a lot of kick out of the interactions and the little character moments.

Now I'm not saying people can't like the new characters, but if they showed up for the old characters they loved, they will be sorely dissapointed.

Hell, the first movie makes it a point to mention about how it wouldn't be that, really, stop asking.

Then they give us shitty wrath of kahn redux.
