Virgins can write perfectly good explicit fanfic, just like straight women can write perfectly good maleslash. It's called research.

yeeeeeees, but no one said they couldn't?

not all virgins write totally wrong sex. but if the sex is totally wrong it was probably written by a virgin who has no experience

Or someone giving people nightmarishly bad oral sex.

You know, having sex once does not magically make anyone an expert - I know at least one guy who's had sex and still got no clue about the anatomy of a vulva. >_> Heck, some people would consider themselves still quite virginal after getting a lot of oral, so it's not even that virgins are necessarily inexperienced.

There are plenty of people who have had sex and then write really shitty porn.

Heck, there are plenty of people who have had sex and who continue to suck at sex.

One of my friends has had more sex than I have because she's been with the same guy for years, whereas I've only ever had short term or one-night-stands, and I've had to explain a lot to her about certain sex positions, about female orgasms, and about blowjobs. I was the first person to teacher her about squirting and different kinks. They just have a very standard routine, whereas I've been with such a mix of people that I've experienced more variety. So yep, having lots of sex != knowing everything about sex.

That, and some people just aren't good at writing sex, regardless of how good and/or experienced they might be in bed.

This.

Look, I've been having sex on a pretty constant basis for eight years, and nothing is going to get me away from the flowery romance novel language I learned in my teen years. Nothing.

Exactly. A talent (or lack of it) for writing certain things doesn't necessarily translate into real life, either.
