Truefax: This movie was the first time computer generated effects were used in a movie, in the opening scene with the hallucinogens and the stained glass window. :)

Uh, no. There were countless films to use computer generated effects before this was released in the mid 1980s.

What you're thinking of is that it has what many consider to be the first CG character because it wasn't adapted from live action as CG characters always had been before.

The stained glass window effects were by Pixar. I don't recall if they were called Pixar then, I only remember learning that later and being so delighted by the information.

Awesome movie. And the Moriarty was fantastically creepy.
