I think there's a decent number of 4chan anons! I've had discussion with at least a couple who seemed to be different people.

But anyway, a large part of my job is recognising people and distinct features about them, something I've gotten rather good at. Which means that I can't help but notice all the very subtle tells that mean even the best trap reads as male to me.

And anime characters are just so much more aesthetically pleasing than real people, in all areas of life. Sex would only be a decent part of it.
