Which is why I would also add "how to steam veggies" to the list of needs-to-know-to-not-drop-dead-mad-skillz.

And whole wheat bread is your healthy toast alternative. I'm too impatient in the morning to wait for potatoes to cook.

But then I also realise that what *I* find easy to cook, the next person over may not. Bread from scratch - the easiest thing in my books, something about it just clicks and it's easy. But I have that magical adult skill where I realise that just because I can do it, it may not be so easy for other people
