Ouch!

I have never RP'd, I've only watched the fallout here and on f-lists etc. and I don't think I'd ever dare to either. So much butthurt and so many broken hearts.

It reminds me a little of the "Dating in the Dark" reality-shows. It's all fun and giggles while it happens, and then so much heartbreak when they face the harsh reality.

Tell me I'm wrong if you know better, anon.

The fallouts are horrible. It's so stupid too, how personal RPing can get. And even if there's no initial fallout that ends the RPing, once you stop... you stop having RP in common. In the end it was all I really had in common with some of my close friends, so we drifted; I hated it then and I hate it still.

One thing that amazes me is how so many people mistake RP'ing for relationships and feelings for one another. I don't know how many people I've seen start up relationships due to fandom or RP and then they wonder why everything falls apart at some point. If all you have in common is RP, then it's probably not going to last long.
